Experience West Virginia Motor Speedway up close with Pitside Camping, located just north of the pit area for an unbeatable view of the action and behind-the-scenes energy. This popular camping zone places fans right in the heart of the racing atmosphere—perfect for those who want to stay close to the teams, haulers, and the pulse of event weekend.

Set within WVMS’s expansive 100+ acres of scenic camping space, Pitside offers easy access to facility restrooms, portable toilets, and (during major weekends) an on-site shower house. All Pitside campsites are primitive/dry with no water or electric hookups, but pump and fill services are typically available during most major events.

Guests are reminded of West Virginia’s firewood rules: due to the Emerald Ash Borer, no out-of-state firewood is permitted. Bundles are available on-site for $5.

📏 How big are the spots, and how can I use them? Each spot is 20' x 50'. It’s yours to use how you like. Camper, tent, vehicles, or a mix. BUT: You must be actively camping. Spots cannot be used for parking only, and you must have at least one tent/camper on site.

🚻 Restrooms, showers, trash disposal?

🎫 Do campsites include event tickets? No. A campsite is separate from your DTWC admission.

Are there fees & tax? Yes, there will be a credit card processing and WV State Sales Tax fee added on to your camping pass. Processing fees will be built into the price up front. No hidden fees.
